YWC RV Mobile Repair

I grew up in southern Indiana, camping in a tent every November weekend during deer season, which brought on my love for camping. I have my friend and his dad to thank for those memories. My dad, however loved it as well, but had a job that required a lot of his time. It was not his fault; he was doing what he could to provide for his family. I understand this many years later, as a father of three wonderful adult boys. When he could, he would come out with a big pot of chili to enjoy around the fire while we tried to stay warm. Fast forward many years, and he was forced into retirement. He would play his online game of Yippee (hence our company name). He became to our immediate family “Yippee Dave.”

 

My dad was a great man. He was very humble, always joyful, and a wonderful man of God. There were not many times when I do not remember him with a smile on his face and never a crossword. In early 2016, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We lost him on Father’s Day, June 19, 2016. Throughout the entirety, he was most gracious. As happy as he could be and never without a smile. He enjoyed life and those that were in it. It was throughout this process, I realized, life is short.

 

Please go out and enjoy, because none of us are promised tomorrow! This led us to the RV lifestyle which brought me closer to family. All of my immediate family is in the RV life somehow and someway. In 2021, we bought our first travel trailer, AKA “Covid Camper.” As most of you have likely discovered, they weren’t put together the greatest, and I learned how to work on mine extensively. Many parts and pieces of my camper got fixed by me through my experience through the years or research; the issue whether at fault of my own, or just being put together very hastily by the manufacturer. No matter, we still enjoy our time outdoors! In 2023, my wife and I decided that there’s more to see in this beautiful country than just our backyard, and I chose to give up my 9-5 and explore.

 

It was in early 2023 that I discovered the NRVTA through a YouTube channel, “Keep Your Daydream.” I started extensively studying this organization, and my interest was forever piqued. I come from a background of skilled labor, and it seemed to be an easy transition of working and traveling simultaneously. We love the lifestyle of RV’ing and seeing the beautiful USA that God has blessed us with, and that led us to the world of RV repair. Our goal is to see this awesome country we are blessed with and working our way through this the countryside we all are a part of while making sure you and everyone around us have the same experience of the RV lifestyle, whether it be a weekend warrior or full time! Here’s to you, Dad……..AKA Yippee Dave!!!!!!
